Michel Rangel is a Los Angeles-based producer and line producer specializing in physical production. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she is a graduate of the University of Texas–Pan American with a degree in TV and Film Production. She began her career as an advertising agency producer before moving into physical production on independent feature films, working her way up through unit production manager and line producer roles.
Her notable line producer credits include Eugenio Derbez's hit film Instructions Not Included and Oscar-winning director Alejandro González Iñárritu's Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths. She also holds production supervisor credits on the series Narcos and Acapulco.
As a producer, her latest feature film, Wake, was awarded a California Film & Television Tax Credit. Her award-winning short films have screened at over 35 film festivals worldwide, with Edge of Space landing on the Academy Awards' shortlist of the top 15 films considered for an Oscar nomination in 2025.
Michel has led every stage of production, from development and budgeting through post-production and delivery. She is an alumna of the Shondaland–Netflix Producers Program.
